Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GhettoScape (ghettoscape.com, the "Service") and any purchase you make in our store. By using the Service or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Service

GhettoScape is an independently operated, free-to-play online game. Creating an account and playing the game is free. Our store offers optional digital in-game items and services that enhance the gameplay experience.

2. What you are purchasing

All store products are digital, virtual in-game items or services delivered to your GhettoScape game account. When you buy a product you receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use that virtual item within the game. Virtual items:

  • are not physical goods and have no real-world monetary value;
  • cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or cashed out for real currency;
  • remain part of the game and may be adjusted or rebalanced as the game evolves (see section 8).

3. Pricing and payment

Prices, product descriptions, and the contents of each package are displayed in the store before checkout. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (including Stripe and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card details. Displayed prices may be converted to your selected currency at checkout using current exchange rates.

4. Delivery and fulfillment

Purchases are fulfilled through our automated delivery system to the game account username you enter at checkout. Delivery is normally available in-game immediately after your payment is confirmed - items are claimed from within the game. We keep an order record for every purchase, including its payment and delivery status.

If your purchase has not been delivered within a reasonable time after payment, contact support (section 10) and we will investigate and complete delivery or refund the purchase.

5. Refunds

Our full Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. In summary:

  • Virtual items that have been delivered to your account are final sale.
  • If a purchase is not delivered, you may request redelivery or a full refund within 14 days of the purchase.

6. Customer responsibilities

  • Enter your game username accurately at checkout - items are delivered to the account you specify.
  • Keep your account credentials secure; purchases made from your account are your responsibility.
  • Only use payment methods you are authorized to use.
  • Follow the game rules. Purchasing store items does not exempt any account from the rules, and items may be forfeited on accounts closed for serious rule violations such as cheating or fraud.

7. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you have any issue with a purchase, please contact support first - genuine problems (missing delivery, duplicate charges, wrong username) are normally resolved quickly. Filing a payment dispute or chargeback on a purchase that was correctly delivered may result in suspension of the associated game account until the dispute is resolved.

8. Changes to the game and virtual items

GhettoScape is a live, evolving game. We may add, modify, rebalance, or retire game content, including virtual items, to maintain a healthy game. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability.

9. Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or the game rules. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
